Salt Surf Life Saving Club Inc. was incorporated under the Associations Incorporation Act in late 2004.

Applications for membership of the Club for the 2010/11 season are now being accepted. The Club membership categories are as follows:

Category	Qualification	Annual Membership Fee
Active	For patrolling persons 15 years and over that have obtained their SLSA bronze medallion. A $5.00 administration fee will be added if your membership is not renewed by the 1 October 2010.	$25
Probationary	For persons intending to train for an SLSA award	$25
Award	For patrolling persons who have obtained an SLSA award other than bronze (eg., first aid, radio)	$25
Cadet	For young people 14-15 years of age intending to train for an SLSA award and do patrols	$25
Reserve Active	For active members whose years of service qualify them to transfer to Reserve Active	$25
Long Service	For active or reserve active members whose years of service qualify them to transfer to Long Service	$25
Associate	For non-patrolling persons 18 years & over intending to assist the club. Each application reviewed by committee.	$50
Junior (“Nipper”)	For young people 5-13 years of age. Each nipper must be accompanied by at least one nipper parent.	Yrs 6 to 7 $35  Yrs 8 to 14 $60
Nipper Parent	For a parent or guardian of a nipper. Fee covers insurance.	$15

Note 1: Voting rights are not granted to associate, nipper, probationary, cadet or active members under the age of 16 years. Gym access is not granted to associate, nipper, under 16 members, or non-active long service members.

Note 2: A discount rate of 10% off the total price will apply where 4 or more family members sign up.

How to become a member of Salt SLSC ~ Three easy steps!

Step 1 - Fill in the membership forms
Salt SLSC membership forms are available for download via the links below (pdf downloads).  To become a member of Salt SLSC you will need to complete the following forms:

• SLSA Membership Application and Declaration – double sided
• Salt SLSC Media Release and Authority Form
• Prohibited Employment Declaration - please complete if 15 years of age or over
• Working with Children Volunteers Form - please complete if over 15 years and / or have not signed form before at Salt SLSC. (Further informaiton on the completion of this form can be found here.
• Transfer Form (Please complete of transfering from another SLSC).

Step 2 - Pay your annual membership fee
Please send a cheque or money order for the correct amount (as listed above) along with your membership application forms.  Alternatively please direct deposit the correct amount and mail the deposit confirmation with your membership forms.

Step 3 - Mail Salt SLSC your membership forms and payment or 
proof of direct deposit

Memberships are not valid until all forms have been completed and produced, full payment has been made and the application is accepted by the committee.
